You know what time it is; It's time to grab yourself something nice to drink, sit down on the couch or in your favorite chair and prepare yourself for a longer recap read from us in ELEINE! We were on an adventure this past weekend playing at Rock In Rautheim in Bransuchweig in Germany! What a weekend it was! And if you are new here - welcome in! We usually try to do some recap posts now and then with our own photos from the adventures to give you a deeper insight in how it looked from our end!
We packed our stuff and headed to the trainstation! We usually have to take a train from where the studio is located to Landskrona, then another train from there. Usually quite a smooth transition! As you may see Victor looked happy and Rikard stacked up a bunch of bananas 💪 🍌
We went on the 1st train! I got a sweet picture of Rikard but also snapped a photo of him and Kevin while going on with their shenanigans. You really never know what or how far the next thing will go when those two are next to each other. And believe me, it can escalate SO fast it's insane. But, they do offer many laughs 😂
Victor maybe didn't smile as much in this picture but it is still cute! This is where I noticed the first time that Victors hair this time lived a life on its own for some reason. I left it, wasn't that bad - but I always appreciate if someone tells me if my hair is a bit all over the place because sometimes I forget to look myself in the mirror! 😅
We got off the train in Landskrona to wait for our transfer! 9 min to go!
We usually fly from Copenhagen Airport which is closest to us, and we arrived - checked in our bags and went through security. We also always have to find our gate before anything else so we are certain it exists and we know where we are, haha.
But after that, I felt like having a coffee. But there's always a dilemma though.
You see, the danish currency compared to Swedish is very, VERY, insanley strong. To give you a rough estimation. If a caffe latte at this coffee place costs 57 danish, that is 83 for us swedes. To compare that in euros you can say that a coffee should cost you maybe 5,5€, but instead you have to pay 8€. Hence why flying from a danish airport ain't very fun but.. it is what it is. It acutally was the other way around when I was a child. Then it was common we went to Denmark to do shopping and stuff because it was almost 50% discount because of the currency difference. Then Denmark went all smart and made great choices, so all we can do is to congratulate them! 👏That hurts for a coffee. But, I sat there and had this massive coffee wish so I had to close my eyes, pay and then suck on that coffee for a long time. Luckily the barista was VERY good. It was such a chocolate-y coffee with a lot of flavor so I did enjoy every sip of that! Kevin on the other hand..
He looked VERY happy to pay the amount he did for this massive schlong of a sausage! 😂 I can't how genuine that smile is, LOOK AT HIM! Hahaha! And I heard the first bit was intense.. so intense it looked like this:

It was time to board! We got our seats and it was for sure a smaller plane to go from Copenhagen to Hannover. I didn't expect something massive but I am afraid of flying and this smaller kind of plane is more sensitive. You feel everything way more. I was at my happy place in my head for sure to try and cope!
It was beautiful weather, we were offered water, tea and coffee on the flight! It was a flight of 1hour and 20min and went quite fast! ✈️

We arrived in Hannover and got our bags! Also the check-ins so that is always a relief! Let's find our shuttle driver!
There he is! All prepared and ready to go! It's always the same that whenever arriving in the afternoon/evening, you need some kind of dinner. So we decided to stop at a place that offered Burger King, Kaufland, Aldi etc so we all could go for something!
We found Elvis, our sound engineer, at the airport as well so we all headed towards the hotel together! I got this room, and it was for sure a good standard! But, I do miss a ventilation thingy. Not air condition per se, it's not a necessity, but fresh air vent is always nice so you don't have to open the window and keep it open all the time. Haha, the air stood STILL. Interesting construction indeed! 🤓
I had a proper bathroom door though, well.. a sliding door without a lock. But I had the room to myself, a single standard room. The guys got the double bigger rooms though but.. apparently no real door. Hahaha, I mean.. I spot Rikard from here. So blurry yet so detailed 😂 Wow! I have seen some hotel rooms though with clear glass doors.. WHY. Even if you're a couple I will assume that a small piece of privacy may be of interest still. Right?
I was so bored in the evening, and wanted to make myself a bit more tired.I usually never touch the TV but this evening I decided to go from 1-100 on german TV to see what this was all about. Incredible to me that everything still has voice overs but what was even more wow was all the shopping channels! MY OH MY. Every 3-4 channels were a shopping channel and I was for sure introduced to 2-for-1 lawnmowers, belts to enhance your figure, jewelries to make you look important and expensive to watches to keep track on time. It was quite fun for just being stuck at the room in a hotel out in nowhere, haha.
From this to that: BREAKFAST! Breakfast was open from 6-10, and a bit before 9 I went downstairs as agreed with the majority of the gang and we had a dedicated table reserved for us by the hotel apparently. How sweet? All bands were staying here so they made it easy and just gave a table per band - very sweet and organized. Wasn't a lot to choose from for some of us that eat plant based and then Victor who is glutenintolerant, but we tried our best to make it work! It was something at least! BUT, they did make incredible caffe lattes that didn't cost a fortune and was included in the breakfast.. and the lady working there was so very sweet to us! She truly made my morning to be honest.Look at this!
She even made a heart 🥹
After preparing ourselves a bit it was time to head to the festival and be there good in time to get to know the place, the staff and find our spot backstage!
I truly never mean to be rude but I heard my own words pop out of my mouth: "Victor, have you by any chance looked yourself in the mirror today?" He said no, laughed and we tried to help out! Haha, this wash his hair decided to go its on way indeed! I'm not joking when I say this was a thing throughout the entire trip, haha. So funny 🙏
We arrived to the festival and got our backstage! A lot of space and we started to prepare ourselves, check the stage, merch area etc!
It was time for a proper lunch that could land well in time before the show since our show started at 16.55! I asked for something plantbased of their choice! They had prepared a chili sin carne that was delicious with some bread with it! I sat a moment for myself and enjoyed gathering my head for the day.Rikard asked for tofu and got this delicious plate! Yummie!
I ran off to the merch when they arrived to set up the plan for the day! I showed the stuff packed, what our suggested price was and just synced details with the merchandisers on the spot! They were super sweet and we are grateful to everyone that bought some merch. The new "Empire of Lies" didn't make it in time unfortunately so we brought some things we already had in stock! Rikard apparently snapped this photo from the catering area! 😅
I started on my makeup! Always have to DYI a spot to do make up on because the lights are usually quite bad, but I managed this time too! That is truly the one thing that you have to keep in mind for touring if this is something you'd like to aim for: You always have to be able do adjust and adapt. It an be difficult so many times but your creativity is really of good use! See the coffee mug btw? We got coffee. I could see through it. It smelled more coffee than it tasted, haha. Luckily the morning latte we got was still present in mind ;)
No photos from before the show because it was chaos! Too many thing wasn't prepared the way the should for us, and some things they provided didn't work very well so we had to fix it in massive stress and just hit start whenever we were somewhat done! But, the show was great - the crowd was incredible and it was so much fun to perform "Empire Of Lies" for the first time. For so many to not have heard it - they followed very well in all the "heys" and did a great job as a crowd. We will feel full from this show for quite a while! ❤︎
We had asked the festival if there was any signing session happening, and this festival is a bit of a smaller one with big intentions and we do appreciate how "family" like it felt. Like a cozy and caring festival. So they replied they don't have that, but they are more than okay with whatever band that wants to meet their fans by the merch. So we did! And we stood there.. for more than 2 hours?! Time just flew away and we were so happy to see so many of you there! It was so needed and the only thing that got drained from it was my feet in the heels and Kevins back from standing on concrete, haha. We truly enjoyed every second - thank you! 🙏 This is one of the photos together with the festival owner (guy to the center-left) and his brother that handled the merchandise (to his right).
