DESCRIPTION

Dear legions, Grab something nice to drink and prepare yourself to get some insights with COOL photos. Rikard and myself have made a collab post for you to give you creme de la creme deluxe! ☕️This past Monday we had a LONG day ahead of us to push through! We gathered at 7.00 in the morning, and at 21.00 I remember closing the door at home behind me. Standing up, in action, barely sitting down.. it was a MUSIC VIDEO SHOOT! 🎬This time we teamed up with our friend Hannes Van Dahl to see what we could do! This is preparations for single number 3 which is scheduled for a bit later this year, and we've been having a bunch of meetings trying to figure out what to do for it. We wanted something unique, but all I had been able to scout was a place in the industrial area of Landskrona. It didn't feel right, and during one of the meetings it hit me... there is a place we've dreamt about making a music video at, but never really digged deep into how we can be allowed. Let me quote Hannes when he saw the place googling it: "Wait.. We have had these meetings trying to figure it out and ALL THIS TIME you've been having this place in the back of your head?! IT IS PERFECT!".Good things takes time, like when I am thinking sometimes 🤓Said and done, I made some calls. It's apparently a place that is accessible for anyone, despite it being a water tower.. but, to get to film with a production like this you need a permit from the police. 90€ and an application later we had it just in time! Are you ready for some proper behind the scenes photos? Good, LET'S GOOOOO!

We arrived. There she is. How cool isn't this building? We have called it "The Rammstein Building" for years when passing it by car. Now I realize it looks like a modern colloseum 😂

My set up was done! We got ourself a trailer from our partners at 24rental, and when on set a trailer like this is always THE best backstage to have in case rain or sun hits too hard, and also a good place to get ready no matter if it's windy! I am also so in love with this makeup table that is portable.. it is such a must-have!

We had no idea there would be toilets available nearby so we had prepared for the worst, but hey look at that - there they are. Believe it or not, but they were FRESH! Lucky us! 😁

See this selfie as a hint of what the main problem for us was during this photo shoot. Any guess so far? 🤔 With that said, I leave the word over to Rikard from here! 😌 /Madeleine

Well hello Legions!Refill your mug and let's goooooo!

My day started THE DAY BEFORE 😳I picked up the trailer 😂 We had to meet up early in morning at the HQ so I made sure we just had to arrive and load. The more minor things you sort out the better the bigger picture will feel at the end of the day.As Madeleine mentioned we used 24Rental, a great and easy way to get ahold of many different trailer sizes in many locations. I reached out to them a couple of years ago and quickly established a work relationship, very handy indeed!

As I am in charge of tech I also solve all the audio stuff when shooting music videos. This time we all used in-ear systems, even Hannes and his friend/helping hand Teddy. They actually got to use the system Madeleine and I use during our Twitch streams....which meant I had to unhook and reconfigure the system for this new purpose haha OOF. In my opinion using in-ears is optimal for all when you don't have "movie prop"/noiseless drums.

We arrived at the spot and these two, Hannes & Teddy, had already set up a little tent (which flew away later) and a little station to charge batteries/swap memory sticks etc etc.As you can see I parked our rolling green room right next to this for optimal camaraderie.

This place is absolutely massive!Much much larger than I expected and it's so cool.We did have some difficulties.....

Glaring sun almost the entire day. Small cloud came and went and so did we to shoot some scenes. Later in the day the sun wasn't as harsh which made it easier but still not optimal. Oh yeah, this meant the shoot took waaaaaay longer than if there were clouds, which there was suppose to be.....but there wasn't.....I did get a sunburn on my right arm tho, so I mean...that's something.

It's hard to give you a perspective on how big the structure actually is, but LOOK! Also....is that a red flag? 😮

The wait 😂Even though there was a lot of this, there were literal HOURS of constant headbangning and performing. It's a lot of hard work and is way harder that many realize. This is also evident in many videos as I've mentioned on my reaction streams.

This is where the song was played from. Super smooth and neat, but it was like 60-100 meters from where we stood haha I actually pressed start on the first take and RAN to my spot to make it for the first beat. I only did this once tho hahaha

When doing videos you shoot the entire band, but also single shots! The more content you have, the more you can do with the video. Here's me watching Hannes take shots of Kevin for some intense drum segments.

I love these, been doing them for years but rarely show anyone. It feels so 90s and grunge!Feels like we are about to do a cover of a Beastie Boys song 😂

Did I mention there was MASSIVE WINDS?!Remember the little tent Hannes and Teddy set up? Yeah that took flight and almost smashed a camera and almost crushed Victor 😂 Luckily it missed the camera and Victor. But sadly the toilet paper did not make it...☹️Playing "In The Arms Of The Angels"

It was great working closer with Hannes. Interesting how some friendships can thrive quickly!I am very excited about this video and can't wait to show you.Speaking of videos, have you seen the music video to "Empire Of Lies" yet?If not.....GOGOGO WATCH HERE I was completely fried, literally, after this long ass day. We were on set from 8am to 8pm and I can say it was very taxing on us all.Imagine being super ready for hours and hours and just jumping in to do the performance of a life time time and time again whilst (for me) swinging around a 5-6kg guitar fueled by coffee and 9 bananas. And then I left the trailer also, lol. I was home at almost 10pm and immediately started cooking dinner. After a long ass day, you deserve nice ass food.We hope you liked this read and combo post! These are very fun to do and giving two perspectives in one post is very interesting for us also.Much love 🖤/Rikard and Madeleine
