Hey, wood dwellers!
I am very happy to share something special today: a four-way collaboration organized by Kelfecil’s Tales, bringing together the wonderful work of Retrograde Minis, Venatus Maps, and Heroic Maps.
This whole release began with inspiration from all three collaborators. Retrograde Minis created the Yellow Queen creatures that gave the whole thing its strange, floral horror identity, while Venatus Maps and Heroic Maps provided the battlemaps that helped shape the flow of both adventures. Their work made it very easy to imagine a story where yellow petals, infected victims, old roads, ruined homes, and difficult choices all connected into one larger narrative.
The result is a two-part 5E adventure storyline: Kiss of Autumn and Pilgrim’s Bloom.
These adventures follow the spread of the Kiss of the Yellow Queen from a rural grove to an old road, an inn, a bridge crossing, and an overgrown village. They focus on infection, limited counteragent doses, roleplay-heavy scenes, criminal harvesting, and choices where the players must decide who can still be saved.
I had a great time organizing this collaboration and building a story around such inspiring artwork and maps. Working with creators whose visuals immediately spark ideas is always one of my favorite parts of making TTRPG content, and I think this release shows how much stronger an adventure can become when we choose to become inspired by art instead of just asking for things to be made how we think they should be.

Kiss of Autumn
In the autumn woods of Southern Latakar, a small cottage stands near an old grove where yellow flowers bloom from soil, roots, and bodies left beneath the leaves. The locals learned to fear the Kiss of the Yellow Queen, then learned just enough to survive beside it. A bitter counteragent kept families alive, kept raiders away, and kept a dangerous secret buried beneath the roots.
Now that secret has been stolen. Bloom Cutters have taken captives, forced a healer to prepare counteragent doses, and begun harvesting Yellow Rot for a criminal trade built on fear, relief, and proof of survival.

Pilgrim's Bloom
Old Pilgrim Road cuts through the autumn woods with muddy ruts, old bridges, and inns that still open their doors to tired travelers. After the events of Kiss of Autumn, one shipment of Yellow Rot, resin, and stolen counteragent has already escaped the ruined village. It has reached the road, where frightened buyers and desperate families now wait to see if the Kiss of the Yellow Queen can be survived.
A cure has been shown. A captive has been used as proof. Now the counteragent, the flowers, and the fear around both are moving from hand to hand, leaving sick travelers, broken crates, and overgrown ruins behind.
