NEWSLETTER! Ravenloft Horrors Within Battlemaps - Deep Dive! PART 1

Hey everyone!

If you know that we've been making battlemaps for the release dates of the last few WoTC adventures/books (Dragon Delves, Eberron, Borderlands etc), you might have been predicting that we'd be doing the same for the new Ravenloft The Horrors Within book, which was officially released today.

Well..you'd be right!

We've made replacement battlemaps for every map that appears in the book, but also a full set of battlemaps for the various Domains of Dread that are described briefly.

Now, if you're going to be playing the setting, and buying the book, then this set of battlemaps is a no-brainer. But, even if you're not, it's worth picking up the two bundles for the huge variety of maps that they contain.

I thought I'd do a deep dive and show you some of the maps that are in the two bundles (which this month have a craaaaaazy discount! So, strap yourself in - this will be a long post!!

Barovia

There's a few maps in the Barovia pack. A two storey map of the Blood of the Vine Tavern (I had done that previously, before an 'official' floor plan existed), there's a mausoleum and crypt, secret vaults and a tree with a secret entrance.

Borca

There's some reallly fun and different maps in the domain of Borca. There's a sinister greenhouse, with an attached lab and a topiary garden, plus a pair of creepy toy/puppet themed maps - a playroom and a theatre.

Darkon

Darkon features a castle, Castle Avernus, magically trapped at the exact moment it is ripped apart by a magical explosion! It's huge, and features a handful of different rooms/floors scattered through the maelstrom!

Dementlieu

This features a huge stately home/palace, with an underground dock. There's two levels , plus I've done in in day and night versions

Falkovnia

This one is very cool. The domain features a city perpetually under siege by the living dead. The pack features a hall/church used as a military base, and a set of city walls under siege!

Har' Akir

Heading off to an Egyptian/Desert theme now, this map pack features the top of a colossal pyramid, with strange magical energies fizzing outside.

Hazlan

A strange desert style palace now, with two courtyards, and also rooms from an extradimensional tower. Perfect for a wizard!

Innsmouth

In rather fun news, the Cthulhu setting has been added as a Domain of Dread, and the maps for this setting feature a huge stone slab and altar, and also a lost ship.
