DESCRIPTION

Hey everyone, this is a big exploration update. The main goal was to make Augur: Sci-Fi feel more cinematic, more connected, and easier to use during actual play.

The headline feature is Sector Maps. You can now generate wide, hex-based sci-fi sector maps filled with star systems, then use those sectors as a campaign-scale layer above individual systems, planets, moons, and sites. It gives the module a much stronger Traveller-inspired exploration flow: start with the sector, pick a system, zoom in, inspect the worlds, and keep building from there.

The new Sector Generator lets you control map size, system density, names, labels, and background style. Generated sectors can use cinematic space backdrops, and each system can be opened directly from the map. Once a sector exists, the Sector Editor lets you keep working with it: adjust display settings, edit systems, add new systems to empty hexes, choose main worlds, and refine how the sector appears at the table.

This update also adds richer preview panels. Clicking a system on a sector map opens a cinematic System Preview with planets shown in orbital order and moons displayed under their parent worlds. Clicking a planet or moon opens a World Preview dossier with profile details, journal notes, and quick access to the linked scene when appropriate.

Planet and moon interaction has been improved across the board. In supported scenes, you can click planets, moons, labels, and suns to open previews. Those previews can be used to edit world data, change planet types, add or delete moons, set main worlds, open linked scenes, and create journal notes when you actually want them.

That last part matters because journals are cleaner now. Augur: Sci-Fi no longer auto-generates a journal entry for every generated world. Instead, each planet or moon can create its own journal note from the dossier when needed. That keeps new sectors and systems much tidier while still giving you an easy place to add lore, descriptions, links, and campaign notes through Foundry's normal journal editor.Overall, this update makes Augur: Sci-Fi feel much more like a complete exploration toolkit. Generate a sector, zoom into a system, inspect worlds, open scenes, edit details, and build lore as your campaign grows.
