Coming next week: ships, crews, factions, and better orbits for Augur: Sci-Fi
This one is focused on making your star systems and games feel much more alive. The big additions are ships, NPCs, factions, and a new orbit editing tool, all tied into the Nexus workflow so you can build relationships between the places, people, and vessels in your campaign.
In practical terms, that means you can now create a ship, pick or randomize its model, drop it directly into a star system, edit its details, and put it into orbit. You can also create NPCs, assign them roles, drag them onto ships as crew, connect them to planets or sites, and use the connections panel to keep track of who belongs where.
Factions are part of the same system. A faction can be based on a planet, own a ship, employ a pilot, or connect to whatever else makes sense for your campaign. The links are bidirectional, but the labels do not have to match on both sides, so the same relationship can read naturally from either direction: a faction might own a ship, while the ship lists that faction as its owner.
The orbit tools have also been expanded. Planets can now have custom eccentric orbits, ships can orbit independently or attach to an existing orbit, and sites can orbit too. That makes it much easier to represent stations, wrecks, satellites, space hulks, and other moving points of interest inside a system.
