So my next video will be covering The Girl from the Other Side by Nagabe. I've covered Nagabe's work on the channel before, talking about Monotone Blue on my Queer Manga rec video, and cameo'ing The Girl from the Other Side in... quite a fair few videos now. It only seems fair that I should cover the manga in its own dedicated video.
It's a beautiful story both visually and contextually, and one I've wanted to cover it for some time. I know many in the discord are fans of the series, so I'm hoping quite a few will be excited for this one.
Walt's Comic Shop will be sponsoring again, and I'm going to try and be cheeky and see if I can get them to do a bundle deal, or deals in general, for the Deluxe Edition Omnibus', because they are genuinely beautiful. And if they'll do a Nagabe sale in general, as all their works are amazing.
For the video after that, I'm taking a break from covering manga (potentially somewhat). Instead, I'm covering a western animation again, finally! Which I'm going to let you guys decide which you'd prefer I cover. All of these animations are adaptations of a comic/manga/novel, and I think it'd be interesting to do a deep dive into how well they adapted their source material.Depending on how i'm feeling after this poll chosen video, I might just cover another from this list too. I've been covering strictly manga for over 13 (more after the The Girl from the Other Side video is out) months now, I think a real break is needed 😂 Plus, these are far quicker to edit and put out.
