A Great Monday, everyone. As I gradually edge towards getting some my songs onto the stage, I wanted to give you all an early glimpse at some of the stuff I've been messing around with.
As an accursèd perfectionist I have avoided putting up live versions of my songs like this, because it means relinquishing control. But when I Get It Right it's a lot more rewarding, and it's definitely been exciting to get out of my comfort zone and learn some new skills. I don't even know if this song will make it into the show (it would obviously be illegal to do it without the dance routine from the video, so that could be a deciding factor). But as I work these out, I'll give you some glimpses on here, and sometimes on Youtube, so you know that I'm chugging away to provide you with the juice.
With things opening up a little I'm extremely pumped to the core to get this show on the road. As things stand, I'll be doing some work-in-progress shows in London in January, and then (if all slides along nicely), coming to the US as a tour support (not officially announced...) in April/May, before back to the UK for the Edinburgh Fringe in the Summer. More details to be announced soon, but so excited to see you there.
