Hey all! I paused the campaign again for this month, but I have a feeling that December we will be back in full swing. Speaking of which, I have five new songs to share this month!
Music
Finally starting to feel the drive to get back to it. The community Two Hour Album Challenge definitely gave me a good push.
Liquid Cooled - I was listening to a lot of Jeremy Blake's Superstructures and I've been having a massive urge to make Liquid DnB. I like the general vibe a lot. Still a lot I need to learn about the genre. It's deceptively deep.
Geometry Sky - I was doing a prep song for the Two Hour Album Challenge just to make sure I hadn't lost all my juice. This is very much a Two Hour Song, but that's OK. Very chill.
Prime Beef - The challenge theme was "prime" and I ended up doing a lot of strange time signatures relating to prime numbers (7/8, 11/8, 13/8) and it just turned into this super weird and funky track. It's awkward, but I kinda dig it.
Collide - Was listening to more Liquid DnB and my friend Soop shipped over this vocal sample. Felt like a good opportunity to try to make another song. It was a lot of fun to further refine my skills with the genre and dial in the style more.
Taru's Infernal Pledge OST - The Dark Pledge - This was a commission project and WAY outside my comfort zone. I was not familiar that Doom Metal was a thing and had never done anything like it before. All the guitar on this was played live, so I'm proud of that!

The album is mostly done. I'm working with a friend on the album artwork (she did the art for Hey and Cozy, so it's kind of become a tradition). That will probably come out some time this month. Most of the songs are cleaned up and just need a final quality pass.
NaSoAlMo 2025
Today is the start of National Solo Album Month. It's always been an opportunity for me to let loose on whatever concept album that's been rattling around in my brain. I have a pretty solid idea on what I want to do, though I don't know how far I'll get with it.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to have the cover song be Touch Grass (uploaded a few months ago). No idea on the album cover yet, but I whipped this up to help inspire me.
The big challenge for this album is I want each song to have vocals and lyrics. It's a scary project to undertake, but I want to get better and the only way is to just do the thing until you're good at it.
We'll see how it goes.
GameDev
Been a slow month for game development. I spent a lot of dev time working on the 2HAC submission system. I learned a lot of modern web development and as a bonus, it's nice to not rely on Google Forms to manage submissions any more!
I have a lot of music going on this month, but I'm hoping that December will let me get back into development and finishing up some more projects!

So yeah, it's been busy. I'm pleased that I feel more motivated to work on things again. It's been a long, dark few months. Sometimes I guess that just happens. Last month's update definitely helped me iron out the pain points. Hopefully in the future I'll be more aware of it.
