It's been an incredibly busy month. My wife and I have been doing art shows for her jewelry every weekend all month. We have all the weekends in December booked as well.
Also, it's National Solo Album Month! I went into the month with huge expectations, but things didn't pan out the way I wanted, mostly because I'm not confident in my voice and singing. I have lots of ideas I can continue to refine, though.
In lieu of that, I did write 33 minutes of music this month, so it's been quite successful.
Music
Fog-Filled Valley - I really want to do another Drones for Drones album, this is the start of it. Hopefully will keep working on them over the next few months and get something new out there!
Creamed Beans - I did a collaboration project with Soopurkul last week. We both streamed independent music production, but every 30 minutes we needed to export a part of our song and the other person MUST use it. It was chaotic and weird. Soop gave me permission to share his song "Beans and Cream", which is also in the drive.
Vertical Garden - I've been reading a LOT of Solarpunk books lately. This song was made in preparation for the stream with Soop, just to make sure everything worked. I like this song; it's nice an chill.
Sketchbook - I banged together five other Sketchbook tracks. I'm pretty pleased with the variety of them. The ones later in the month were done trying to focus on chords and interesting ways to express chord progressions. Something I should have learned like 15 years ago, but here we are.
Development
No huge progress on anything here. Most of my free time was spent making music. That being said, I watched a video, which led to a post about digital gardens. I'm kind of enamored with the idea of having something that is a mix between a blog, a git, and a wiki. I'm thinking about building a simple framework to give it a try. Might be a December project.
