Now that i've made a bunch of pieces with the new style, i think i'm seeing which case scenarios benefit from it. In the future, there'll be a mix between the more realistic shading, and this simplified shading.
I'm going to focus on improving the perspective and foreshortening next P:
Turns out implementing the new style isn't that time consuming. Ofc it's a mix of my natural progression with drawing. I feel like the updated 'simple shaded' style enables me to 100% finish these pieces in the future.
I'll do my best to post most pieces in this visual quality, it's so fun to color like this.
