hope you're well. I am, with a mind bent backwards, flipped over and bum slapped and plonk back in my noggin by some seriously nuts wave folding ...
Here's SKORPION from WMD. Which wave folds, but not like any folding I think you'll know. It's certainly boggled my brain as I work on the demo video but the results have been stunning. Some really special expressive and deep sounds that would take chains of several modules to come close to often from very simple sources like a sine wave. It's evident through play this is a vast sonic playground that will reward exploration over a longer period ... longer than I'll have for the fuller video (coming next week) but importantly it's fun to play with, experiment and learn with. Some of the best bits of modular.
In getting to work with Skorpion as soon as I put a few cables into it I wanted to share that out of the box (literal) first patch, in that naive state just basking in the mad stereo sound it creates from a single saw wave. So here's a FIRST PATCH video just exploring for a few minutes.
Skorpion is going to be produced a bit differently, working with pre orders to create the first batch and then that's it. INFO HERE.
Watch out for the fuller demo video next week and I'm off to Bristol tomorrow for much fun at Machina Bristronica. I'll be less online in our Discord but will check in, so if you want me for anything @ me other there :)
