Luna ... I hope you like pulses!
DESCRIPTION

Hello, hope you're good.

Here's a video with the new LUNA from Neutral Labs. I believe it's the worlds first commercially available Lunetta synthesizer. I talk about what that means, what Luna is and show you a load of standalone and Eurorack ideas and uses from my limited time with it so far. Your pal and mine Mylar Melodies did a more detailed standalone run down of Luna too that's well worth checking out (that's here).

I titled this post "I hope you like pulses" as the entire instrument is pulses, from it's 5 oscillators, to it's binary counters, shift registers, multiplexers and logic gates. It's digital but raw, characterful old school digital and that rounds out with a set of 3 analogue LPGs that mix into a dual FX stage. Suitable lo fi, organic and crispy gritty in vibe when you want it.

There's loads left I couldn't get to in the video that I'm looking forward to trying, both as a standalone groove box against some drums, MIDI and clocks and also as a mini tone and rhythms exploration system within a larger modular system. I think lots of bits of Luna would make for nice modules by themselves.

For now I'll chat to you all in the Discord and be back with more again soon, have a great start to the week!
