Easy voltage controlled visuals

Easy voltage controlled visuals
DESCRIPTION

Hello,

hope you're well and ready for something a little different, which is exploring video synthesis and visuals, I was going to say instead of audio but it's actually alongside and very much integrated with your audio and modulation.

Here's Rorschach (Roar Schack I was told for pronunciation, like a dinosaur in a shack that's a fan of the composer Bach) from Lumatic Visual Devices which is a very affordable entry into the world of video synthesis (£170 assembled and £110 DIY kit here in the UK currently, they're based in the UK too). I think for many this will bridge an interest in visuals and importantly voltage controlled visuals that play well with Eurorack and actually taking a leap to have a go. While also continuing to work if a video set up evolves rather than it feeling like something you'd get going on and then just move on from.

It's lo fi pixelated characterful visuals from a hybrid digital and analogue design and there's CV inputs over all the controls and gate inputs over the switches too. Really good fun as you'll see in the video that combines it with the same LFOs used to make big gnarly angrient (angry ambient) drones, then approaches to marry melody and visuals, clocked and sequenced things too.

Find them on https://lumaticvisual.com/ curious as to your thoughts on this one.

If you missed the last exclusive on "distortion layering" check that out HERE and I have another exclusive scheduled for this coming Thursday on "A weird & wonderful way to make chords" which uses pitch information to create both the root note and the interval for a harmony.

If things feel a little quieter over in Discord this week that's due to some time away with family but back soon and lots in the works to come soon.

Have a lovely rest of the week and thanks as always for your support.
