hope you're good and ready for some dynamics action. Here we have SUMP PUMP from Robots Are Red (circuit design by Setonix Synth for anyone curious) which is a 6HP stereo noise gate - is this the only specific noise gate in Eurorack? - which can also invert it's level control and work as a compressor.
If you're into making beats you've likely had compression in mind at some point, if you have noise issues a noise gate might have been in mind ... but I've made the video to explore not just sidechain pumping bass, beat shaping and noise reduction but to explore how these things can be more creative with shaping dynamics overall. I'm particularly fond of the technique for working with big ambient FX that's in the video.
