Returning to NashBored was an interesting experience. It was easily my most neglected game, and there was a lot of stuff that I was really unhappy with. Over the last few years, I've been meaning to update it, but I've never gotten around to it. I suddenly got the urge to finish it up in the last few weeks, and I'm glad that I did.
Previously, NashBored was a game I could only recommend to people who really like DashBored and really wanted a bit of extra stuff to play through. It was a hard game to get into, full of unfair gameplay and other rough edges. With this update, I hope to make NashBored a game that anyone can play and enjoy.
As a side note, returning to it, RPG Maker is dangerous. Most game engines, like Unity or Godot, are enough of a pain in the ass to work with that it prevents me from going overboard as I work. I'll say "Well, I got two character models done and a new song, that's a good amount of work for a day!" and take a break. With RPG Maker, everything is so easy and kind of fun to do that I can't stop myself from working and working. I say "I haven't done enough, the game must be finished."A few days ago I worked on the game for easily about 48 hours straight, taking a break to sleep for about 4 hours. I think that RPG Maker may be dangerous to my health, haha.
