NashBored is a game that I have, in all honesty, kind of neglected. As a side game of DashBored, it has gotten a lot less attention from me over the years.
Now that people are starting to go back and play the DB games, I figure it's about time I get NashBored up to snuff with the quality I expect with my other projects.
Right now I'm going through and remaking a bunch of the game's less enjoyable parts, as well as giving it a visual overhaul. There could also be some new secret story stuff ;)One thing to be overhauled are some of the prerendered backgrounds. Back in 2018 when I made NashBored, I didn't know much about 3D rendering or modeling, so the prerenders don't look very good or interesting. I'm hoping to change this now!
Here you can see the difference between the old prerender and its new replacement. I think it makes quite the difference. This was always meant to be a spooky brick entrance, but it just doesn't really come through in the original. For some reason I used subsurface scattering on the bricks, which gives the old building an unintended "gummy" look.Either way, I think it's an improvement.
