I've been going through a bit of a bad stretch of 'ahedonistic' tendencies for the last little while. I won't go into why, but I do know where it's coming from, and it is something that will pass. But it's lead to a long stretch of just not having any 'spark' to create, or really to do anything that requires active participation.
That said, I had to try and fall back to doing studies for a while. I picked a character and just went with 'practice something with this' as a prompt.
This, in particular, is Jaed (Pronounced Ja-eed). A Kholo ranger who fights with a simple bo-staff. He was a farmer among his people, but through a long winding road of circumstance, had to learn to fight, and now wanders with his chosen.
I guess the theme here is 'Those nights where you and your group of explorers are out in the wilds, and something stumbles into your camp, but you don't have time to put pants on'.
..Or something like that.
Either way, a study in shadow and form. My 'yeen-fu isn't great, but I haven't drawn a gnoll derivative in ages now.
It's late, and my brain only wants to watch trash on TV. So it was a least a little productive.
