Hi folks,

Wishing you the very best for the coming week from everyone at Rusty Towers!

The first half of this year has been packed with announcements, and we know it’s not always easy to stay in the loop with everything that’s going on! With that in mind, we thought we’d give you a quick update and run through some of the things that are coming up for Rusty Quill in the next few months!

Firstly, the production team continue their work on The Magnus Protocol and the next Neon Inkwell series, Rez High. Season 2, act 3 of The Magnus Protocol will be releasing every other week from 16th July – or if you’re an early access supporter, you’ll be able listen from 14th July.

Next up, we’re attending a number of events this year! First, you can find the Rusty Quill team at the UK Games Expo at the end of this month where, along with our friends Monte Cook Games and Indie Boards and Cards, we’ll be hosting a discussion on taking a podcast and creating table top games, as well as a live play of The Magnus Archives Roleplaying Game. Entry to both these panels is included in the price of a UK Games Expo entry ticket. For tickets, head to www.ukgamesexpo.co.uk or find out more about our events by visiting rustyquill.com/expo .

We’re also coming to the Crossed Wires Podcast Festival in July, where Jonathan Sims and Alexander J Newall will be taking to the stage to perform fan-favourite statements from The Magnus Archives and discussing the last ten years of creating the show together. Tickets are available now! This is sure to be a truly special evening – if you’d like a taste for what to expect, you can check out the recording of a similar event from last year, exclusive to our paid members: https://www.patreon.com/posts/statement-begins-152867353

Finally, of course, is From the Library of Jurgen Leitner by Premee Mohamed with Jonathan Sims, the first book in a multi-book deal with Penguin Random House, set in the world of The Magnus Archives. From the Library of Jurgen Leitner will be published on October 27, 2026 in print, ebook and audiobook versions, all of which can be pre-ordered now. You can read the blurb, and find links for pre-orders by visiting rustyquill.com/novel .

2026 marks ten years since The Magnus Archives was first released, and much of the above was first announced in a celebratory livestream earlier this year. This packed stream also included:

A preview of Indie Boards and Cards new mystery board game, The Magnus Archives Mysteries (late pledges for which are still available on The Magnus Archives Mysteries Kickstarter page)

The cast of The Magnus Protocol playing Trivia Murder Party

Jonathan Sims playing through Slay the Princess (with help from Alex and Anusia Battersby)

A Q&A retrospective with some of the cast of The Magnus Archives

An interview with author of From the Library of Jurgen Leitner, Premee Mohamed and an exclusive extract from the book.

The full stream is available to watch now on our YouTube channel – it’s well worth a watch if you’re looking for some Magnus-themed fun.

Have a good week all!
