Today, we’re excited to announce that we will be attending MCM Comic Con in London this weekend!
Continuing our celebrations of ten years of The Magnus Archives, join Jonathan Sims, Alexander J Newall and chaos-harnesser (or, perhaps, enhancer), Helen Gould for a panel that dives into the history and intrigues of the Archives, plus a special horror improv session, where attendees will have the opportunity to witness the creation of new, horrifying Magnus-style statements live on stage.
You can expect laughs, a lot of chaos, and a whole new perspective on how The Magnus Archives was made!
The panel will be taking place on Saturday 23rd May at 3pm BST on the Live Stage.
It will be followed by a meet and greet from 4pm – 6pm.
Both panel and meet and greet are included in the MCM ticket price – you can purchase tickets now on the MCM Comic Con website. We hope to see you there!

If you’ve ever wondered what a Rusty Quill event is like, or haven’t been able to attend, we always do our best to share recordings where it is possible. In particular, if you haven’t yet watched our recent Member Exclusive video, Statement Begins, this is well worth a watch, as Jonny and Alex revisited some of their favourite Magnus statements, including Angler Fish and Dig. The recording took place last year at The Lowry in Manchester, and also features what Alex and Jonny referred to as the “bullshit detector”, a timer to ensure that they didn’t ramble on and kept to the strict 1 hour 45 mins run time.
