DESCRIPTION

Hey everyone,I'm back from my hair transplant and am feeling very relaxed. The only thing that's holding me back right now is that I'm currently trying out new ADHD medication that has some bad side effects, but I've been making good progress on all project fronts. Don't you worry, though. I still consider BMO TV to be the main and most important project, and I have some great improvements for you ready this patch.

Obviously, the game is currently in a state between fully functioning states. We've replaced some core gameplay systems this patch cycle and haven't yet reached a satisfying conclusion with them. That's why I'm hesitant to move on from V0.7.x patch numbering. We're still deep in the mess on that front, and I think we'll need a V0.7.8 to finish us off on this cycle. Here are the planned features for this patch first, though.

IQ "Madness"

The previous patch introduced a whole new IQ system, and now we're going to continue that rework by completely replacing ALL NPC dialogs with different versions for different IQ levels of the characters. This is a huge refactoring, and I'm still working on it. But I think this will make the biggest difference in the world for the game's feel.

I think the slow change will be very sexy, and add that whole sexiness into the regular game that was previously hidden behind a mean syringe attack that ruined a lot of the gameplay. With this new version of the game, we will be able to enjoy the fluffiness of the lower IQ without disrupting gameplay or morality. And obviously, this will now open up the way for some more sexy situations and events that we'll be able to add to the game.

NPC Inhibitor Usage

The second big gameplay factor for the IQ rework is the proper balancing of the IQ decrease and the ability for contestants to use the inhibitors on themselves. You will be able to gift them inhibitors to increase your friendship level, and see their inhibitor status in the affection screen.

One contestant will have a very special relationship with the inhibitors and will have a full storyline with events and dialogue. I don't want to spoil too much, but if you know all the current content, you might already be able to guess which one that is.

Styling Challenge: Business Costumes

For the new Styling Challenge gameplay, I have been teasing that we'll have costumes for all the contestants in the upcoming patches. And the first are the business-style costumes. What you don't see here is that there are two versions of these outfits for each contestant depending on their transformation stage.

And also, these do have expression versions as well, so I can animate their dialog images while wearing these clothes. It's not the same range of poses as for the normal standing graphics, but that would be excessive. Our artists don't have unlimited time to waste on this part of the game.

To make the most of our time with these outfits, I also want to change how the final hours leading up to the styling challenge are structured. Instead of all the usual day activities, the contestants will be getting ready for the big show, and you can talk to them about their looks and their hopes for it. And if they like you, then they might also be able to help you with your own outfit, give you tips, etc.

NPC Activity Trapping

Now... you may recognize this point. I already promised this for the last patch, but then it was just too large to fit in. So let's try again and hope I have enough capacity this time. Basically, the NPC activities are too safe right now and give more votes than other activities. So why wouldn't you do them all the time? Well... obviously they need to have possible downsides as well. My current plan is to add random events at the start of an activity that would lead to the same transformation state for either both of you or just, well, you. This is a hugely important gameplay feature, and I'm aware of that.

Speed Up Dice Actions

Yes, I have heard you. You can now set the speed of the dice actions to make them faster, and I'll add an auto-roll trigger so you don't have to click anything at all if you don't want to.

Okay, so... another crazy-huge update because we're restructuring so much of the core gameplay and rewriting so much of the dialogue at the moment. Obviously, while these aren't named here, I'm also going to continue fixing bugs and balancing the new gameplay a lot.

Hope you are excited for these changes. I know I am since they will give the game back a lot of its appeal that needed to be changed over the last few years. I know it wasn't easy and took a while but I really think this was a necessary process and this will finally be a return to old form.

Hope you're all ready for that.

Best,Jenni(Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I go by Jennifer now... well... short version: I chose both Kim and Jennifer when I changed my name and stuck with Kim because I felt it was the safer option and I didn't feel feminine enough for Jennifer yet. And now I finally feel like I've earned the ability to use that name. It's stupid, I know. Dysphoria sucks. Well.. I go by Jennifer now, but both Kim and Jennifer are still my legal names and fine to use. I'll do another Transition Update some time later this year.)
