Mind massage. You know? It was totally a thing back in my first comic ten years ago. Switch and Casey were doing mind massages in every chapter. It's been so long, I bet you don't even remember that it was very much a regular and canonical occurrence at the time! That's you, always forgetting things. Ah well. I forgive you.
In all seriousness I do try and be judicious about adding stuff to the story that's supposedly "always been there." But hopefully you'll agree that it's nothing that couldn't have been happening between Switch and her hosts when the mind massage is revealed next week.
In the meantime a background character has aggressively pushed a boob aside to steal a speaking role!
Dog Woman, a recurring NPC that I will now in this very moment come up with the naaaame: Janine, was set to appear in the final panel of the previous page. She was going to serve the same purpose as the top panel here, pointing out how lame Casey's hiding spot was. I just felt the last page had enough going on already so she got bumped.
But once I had her on this page I realized that Casey was going to be talking to herself in the lower panels and it might be more fun if she actually had someone else to talk to. Unfortunately once I drew Janine with a fully detailed face for the first time ever, I found she looked a lot like Liz. Which is a brutal coincidence because anyone who blindfolds her dog to protect its virgin eyes from lewdness is going to be a weirdo so of course she just happens to look like my most prominent existing weirdo. If I'd ever intended to give her a speaking role of more than a sentence or two, I'd have given her more distinct features from the get go. XD
