DESCRIPTION

Hello everybody!

Movement Updates

As you know, Neighborhood is getting a 'time of day' schedule, but I noticed that the Giantess' movement system is nowhere near stable enough to actually facilitate that kind of thing just yet, so I've spent the last week ironing out animation-related bugs, locomotion issues, as well as adding a few new features to help facilitate what I have in mind for the daytime scenarios (and transitions inbetween).

Having the Giantess use IK to catch a moving target (while also allowing her to move at the same time!) has been re-implemented, yet again, and the results are pretty seamless! I plan on deprecating the old "GiantessMovement.SetIKPosition" nonsense in favor of the new implementation.

The whole movement system is pretty robust now, too - She can pick something up AND strafe towards her goal while simultaneously turning her body to look at something other than her destination. It's really nice being able to direct the Giantess to do some complex thing and having her actually be able to complete it now! There are still quite a few animation quirks to iron out now, but that seems to be this project's whole history ^^' - I'll get around to it!

Code Cleanup

Over the course of this next update's development, I will start removing code that is no longer relevant or used, such as Giantess States - They're being deprecated in favor of GtsScript-based states anyways, so there's really no point in leaving the code there to rot forever.

I expect this is going to take quite some time to accomplish - The project thus far has been me piling up idea after idea, system after system, implementation after implementation, so now I'll have to sift through everything, pick out the goodies, and discard the rest. Please remember the project is still in its infancy stages! I'm still finding out my limits with Unity. Anyways, I'll try to be quick about it.

Custom Model Tutorial Video?

I've got some things recorded for the tutorial video, but ultimately I've decided to halt its production for now. It's hard to know what to cover when I don't know any common issues people have with it (as nobody reports them). So, if you need help with the custom model Blender tool, just ask in Discord. I realize that may be a pain in the ass, but like I said, I'll need to have a better understanding of common issues before I can make a good tutorial video for it. Apologies!

What to expect in the next Progress Update

As with every week of development, I try to find things that need touching up the most and I get to working on them. I'm going to continue on with fine tuning the movement system, and after I get it working well enough, I'll continue working on the time of day scenarios.

As always, thank you all for your continued support, and I'll see you in the next progress update!
