They're probably removing per creation billing model in November this year.
In case you weren't aware, I bill subs only when I make a new version of the game, that being like every six months or so nowadays (though I'm tryna be faster). Now it would instead be every month if this change goes through.
Here's the email I got and the message that displays on my creator profile:
Apple has reimposed its subscription billing mandate
Apple previously told us this switch wouldn’t be required – they have since reversed that decision. We want to be clear about what’s happening and how we’ll support you.
You’ll need to switch to subscription billing before November 1, 2026.
We’re here to help. Our Support Team will work with you one-on-one when you’re ready.
We’ve built tools to make this easier, like benefit eligibility tracking, tier repricing, gifting, free trials, and discounts, with annual-only memberships coming soon.
If you haven’t switched by the deadline, we’ll automatically transition your account so your page stays active and uninterrupted.
I would guess that this was emailed to you all as well since you're subbed to a per creation creator's page, but in case it wasn't, here it is.
I dunno if this apple thing is true or not, obviously per creation creators are making less money for this platform in general, but nonetheless this is what's up.
I won't be pre-emptively switching or anything so Patreon will November 1st transition my account automatically. That is, IF nothing changes. The email I got implied a little bit there might still be a chance this wont happen, but I'm not holding out too much hope.
Nonetheless I figure yall should have a heads up.
