The prince and his company are getting really close to the city. The journey continues in the outskirts.
Scene 9The prince's journey goes as peacefully as it can, while the ship is sailing down the river. It turns out they took a wrong direction when they crossed the dunes before and strayed really far from the correct route to the city, but thanks to the tesem and their ship, their journey is now on the track again. As the huntress spots the city in the distance, the dogs remind them, the docks they are heading to is in the outskirts of the city, so they still have to take a long walk to reach the city gates, and probably wouldn't get there before the sun sets. According to the prince's vast knowledge, in this region it's not appropriate for envoys to show up after the sun has passed its highest point on the sky, therefore they should find a place to stay for the night and approach the gates in the morning.
Scene 10The prince has decided, he'll find a place for them to stay for the night on his own, just to prove he can get things done without help if he wants to. After recovering from her initial surprise, the huntress accepted his offer, and decided to mingle with the locals in her newfound free time. Similiarly to every major city around the world, the outskirts are covered in farmlands and mostly populated by the hooved folks, who are providing the vast majority of the city's food. There is much to learn from them while the prince is searching for lodging. After asking around for a while, the prince has learned something really interesting from a group of workers. Their boss is also the local leader of the hooved folks, and apparently he is part of the speakers' council. He might let them stay for the night, if they're lucky.
Scene 11While waiting for the prince, the huntress learned a lot from the locals about their way of life and customs around the outskirts and even in the city. As she partakes in a very interesting conversation with a friendly donkey, they suddenly get interrupted by an other member of the hooved folks, actually searching for the huntress herself. Apparently he is here to bring a message from the prince about the lodging he found, and also to show her the way to that place. The huntress is glad the prince has proven himself capable of this task, and she will be joining him as soon as possible. Of course, only after she hears the rest of the story they were in the middle of.
Scene 12As it turns out, the leader in this region is a well-respected bull, who's not officialy a speaker himself, but he's allowed to speak in the council on behalf of the hooved folks. Though the arrival of the envoys was not expected, he allowed them to stay for the night after hearing all the good things about them from his staff. As his place is usually not a lodging for envoys to stay, and to thank his workers for leading them here, the prince and his company must do the rest of the work around the house in their stead. Chores are not a foreign concept to the huntress, and the prince is also trying his best to help out.
