Some of you know that I'm from an unstable region torn by war and it seems we're approaching the point of no return.
I thought the next attacks on the power sector would be next winter and that I'd have time to make a ton of progress on the project by then, so I could release smaller updates during the winter. But that turned out not to be the case; the attacks are intensifying and there will definitely be power outages this summer. Even if not this summer, there will definitely be problems later on - one way or another.
So I started looking for a solution to this problem, and it seems I'm gradually finding one.
Here are some 2D artworks that I should be able to create during power outages. Yes, I'll say right away that this is AI. I experimented with it a long time ago and now I’m brushing up on it from time to time.
I'm just preparing for the inevitable and showing you everything as it is, so there won't be any surprises later. At the moment, there are no power outages - I'm continuing to work on Age of Chaos just as I did before.
But when they do appear, I'll probably go with this 2D style for the foreseeable future. Everyone keeps talking about how much the AI has improved and how cool and easy it is, but in reality, it's really hard to even do what I want.
So right now, I don’t really know what to do when power outages will occur: should I try to make version of Age of Chaos with this style or just post random 2d art, do polls, etc. Maybe you have some advice.
I will repeat again that I'm still making Age of Chaos in my 3d style, I'm just preparing for the inevitable and letting you know.
I hope for your understanding and your feedback on the style, since I actually like this 2d art even more than 3D.
