DESCRIPTION

The mixing process having been thoroughly covered, Victoria's tour of the ice cream factory continues. As she makes her way down the stairs, ignoring what appear to be strange gaps in the factory's railings, she has a discussion with her producer about Channel 5's blurring policy. Apparently, they don't have one. This is common enough in Awesome City and around the world in the world in which this story takes place. Blurs are dishonest things, they distort the world and give us an incorrect view of things. It's unrealistic to expect potentially objectionable things to be hidden from our view with a layer of digital gauze. Although Victoria may not appreciate it now, and probably won't later, but the news is best when it's crystal clear.

This page is another example of background elements not playing nice with the art. The railing was an easy fix, put a gap in it and add a sign to lampshade the obvious motivation in doing so. The little sign on the vat was a different matter. The dialogue balloon more or less had to be right there, and moving it would have been much more trouble than it was worth. The part you can't see says something like " 1000 liters of Nom Noms", in case anyone was wondering.
