DESCRIPTION

I’ve been keeping these thoughts to myself for a while, but I wanted to share a bit of an honest update.

Lately, I’ve been navigating a constant balance between “survival” and “passion.” Since I started focusing more on original work last year, I’ve realized how challenging that path can be. Platforms like Tapas have brought in very little so far (not even $25 total), and I haven’t been accepted into their Creator Bonus Program yet. It definitely gave me a new level of respect for creators who make original work sustainable.

At the same time, I’ve also seen some paid supporters leave during this transition, which has made me reflect a lot on whether I’m heading in the right direction. I’m still figuring that part out.

There have also been some unexpected setbacks recently.

I was supposed to attend Dokomi this year, but due to the ge0political situation and flight cancellations through Doha, I had to cancel the trip. The airline and the convention are currently processing refunds, but unfortunately, the hotel booking was non-refundable, which means I’ve had to absorb that loss. It’s not ideal, but I’m grateful that I made it back safely.

Because of all this, Patreon is my only source of income to cover my significant monthly expenses and medical bills.

I just wanted to be honest about why things have been a bit slow. To everyone who’s still here: I really appreciate it. It’s because of this Patreon that I can handle my bills and still find time for my own characters.

I don't have a perfect plan yet, but the drawing continues. Thanks for sticking around.😇
