heyo peeps, more stuff from zap& andy this week, i'm afraid i don't feel like i've really started to chip away at the play yet, there's a lot of moving parts in this section and i'm prioritizing the hardest parts to make, but there's still a ton of bits and bobs (mostly props and small animations for some of the characters acting) i'll have to complete before this part can be considered -finished- . Still , bit by bit, it's being done.
On a happier note, OUR DEMO HAS BEEN GREENLIT BY STEAM! still, we think we won't participate in steam next fest, we wanna gather more wishlists from people, and maybe the demo will help with that. We haven't published it yet, but now we can do it whenever we want, so we're doing more bug testing and considering to add a lil bit of banjo-kazooie style voices in it , So give us some days and you'll be able to play the new version.
in terms of progress with the assets, i animated mal being all dramatic performing the play of his dreams, but of course piercer, being a big rube isn't having any of that and he'll jeer the archdevil relentlessly, making him blow a gasket.
to show how impressed piercer is with the play i decided to go for a cutaway to his reaction to it. It's mainly going to be a static pose and him talking , with zap on his side to direct the play.
This is his lowest entertainment pose-
this is his mid enterntainment pose
and this is high entertainment pose.
there's one more pose, but i'll show it later in the post.
I also started working on the last part of the play that will reenact the last part of the intro of the game, with mal as andy and barbariccia as piercer. I decided to go for this one because it's gonna need a lot of work, given that this part links directly to the last cutscene of zap's part
so i started sketching the animation. Mainly mal isn't thrilled of being on the receiving end of a good ol dicking, but barbariccia isn't having any of that and gets REALLY in character.
all this will be accompanied by piercer max level of entertainment. Let's just say piercer isn't one for applauses, and optes for a more extravagant form of appreciation.
next time, i'll probably be knee deep completing that sketched cutscene, and after that i'll try to wrap up things with this part. Hope you enjoyed what i've posted, peeps! more to come!
