Next up: a day at the tower - the first content pack with the new concept and a poll for what should be included
Heya everyone!I’m super excited (and a little nervous) to finally introduce the first a day at content pack in my new release format!
Sorry for the repost! Forgot to add that you can choose MULTIPLE options and Patreon does not allow to change that afterwards XD
If you missed the post where I explained the new concept, here’s a quick recap:Instead of one huge pack released all at once, each a day at theme will now be split into several smaller releases - each focusing on a specific part of a location. This allows me to share new content with you more regularly while still building a set of content that shares an overall theme over time.
Let's start with a day at the tower!
This will be the first test run of the new structure - and since the topic “the other skyscraper” won in the poll, it will be the first to be implemented in the new format.BUT: Unlike what I had originally in mind with the new concept, this one won’t have separate standalone maps for each release: Instead, each part I release will represent a different vertical section of the same building - so that, once all are done, you’ll have a complete skyscraper with multiple levels, where the different floors can be used individually or combined.Or you can mix & match the different variants to create the kind of high-rise tower your campaign needs.
Release structure
The Tower will unfold in three parts leading up to the end of the year:
Part 1: Surroundings & Lobby (mid-November)
Part 2: Main Floors (early December)
Part 3: Roof & Basement (mid December)
General concept:
Each release part will come with:
maps (and floorplans) for the respective floors
vanilla Foundry modules
assets, prefabs & rooms created for those areas
The Cloud folder, Dungeondraft packs, and Foundry modules will be updated with each additional part I release.Once all parts are done, they’ll be bundled into the full “a day at the tower” pack.
Voting:
With this vote, I want to give you the opportunity to decide which additional floor contents will be included. For each tower section, I’ve prepared several possible variants - and the two of each section with the most votes will be added as extra variants. That means: I will create 2 different options for the surroundings, lobby, basement and roof - so you have more options when you put your own tower together. The lobby / ground floor will also get a variant without surroundings so you can put it in your own environment. For the main floors there will be more options:A general office floor, a residential floor (and "standard" rooftop) will be included in any case - and 2 additional floor types will be chosen according to this poll.(I will also include empty versions of the floors so you can easily integrate your own ideas into the layout if you wish.)
Final note:
I’m really excited to start this new chapter and to see if this structure feels as fun in practice as it does in theory.Your feedback and votes will help me shape how this works going forward - so thank you so much for being part of this! I am also really curious about your ideas and what assets, rooms and prefabs you feel would come in handy when creating maps for your own Skyscraper / Tower. Happy if you let me know about it here in the comments or on the a day at Discord Server!
Greetings from Ana
