I spent a good time with my peerage just telling them about how thing's generally went at the Rose Mansion. With most of the ship girls being very interested in going over to use their lazy river and the cove movie theater as well.
"Hmm so you at least do have the awareness to come bring me back a gift." Lux said with an adorable huff. All the while she was a 'machine' that made the strawberry and chocolate cake dissapear into her seemingly endless stomach.
With my own slice of cake in front of me. Which mind you was extremely delicious to say the least. I asked my master with an amused soft smile. "So what has been going on? Anything interesting and not depressing happen?"
Lux paused at my question before she shrugged and said evenly. "Hmm, the Xiao Family of Mistral has been making some noise. Their Sage, Xiao Yan's great grandfather was... Still is rather wrothful for his favored heir's death over here in Vale."
Then she paused and looked at me with a pointed look before she added in amuesment. "And the fact that you have one of their families Grandmaster retainer's, several servants, and another clan heir in your grasp also has frustrated them as well."
I idly just ate another piece of cake before I said rather bluntly. "Hmm, well maybe they shoudn't have become slavers then. Skill issue, sucks to suck, and do unto other's as you would have them do onto you."
I waved a hand through the air with a lazy air before I said flatly. "In other words, they are just barking because they are the losers in this situation right?"
To which Lux nodded with a chuckle as she said plainly. "You are right Jake. Humanity despite the Grimm, still have the time to go to war with people across the world for their own resources."
Then Lux took a drink before she continued. "On the other hand, the church has been... Rather annoying with how they have been occassionally camping out in front of my magic tower. But thankfully the Light school here in Beacon has been running some interference."
"Beyond the church still wanting you to knock up a whole convent of their nuns. I believe Calia has been working on a new giant undead project using the corpse of Grandmaster tier martial artist who became an Abomination."
I raised an eyebrow before I asked curiously. "Oh? Are you also taking part in that project?" As Lux was still a Grandmaster in the fields of necromancy, shadow magic, and other 'darker' fields of magic. So there wasn't anything special with her helping Calia with some parts in that project.
Lux hummed thoughtfully before she said. "The Abomination had an almost standing armadillo like appearance but only somewhat more humanoid. And the martial artist before his corruption had the semblance of 'Growth' so he was able to grow up to thirty meters in size, or even shrink himself down to the size of half a meter."
"Calia is turning it into a combat undead with several grafted weapons being added to it. And with it's size shifting ability even in undead form, it is alot of work crafting weapons platforms for whenever it's a different size."
I absorbed all that information for a good bit before I said with a sharp nod. "The abomination needs a giant laser arm on one arm that get's more powerful the larger it is. And the other arm should just have a chainsaw/drill that can also expand with it's size changes."
Then I cleared my throat and spoke. "Anyyyy who! So beyond Calia and Ferid making a mess with abomination corpses and doing other crimes against common decency and logic. Has my peerage behaved while I was gone?"
Lux's face twitched at my question before she snorted and said in amuesment. "Oh? Did they behave? Hmph, let me tell you, you troublesome disciple the amount of stress your peerage has brought me!"
"That ginger brat all but instigated a fight between Pyrrha Nikos and Weiss Schnee who both came over at the same time to drop off gifts from their own families who wanted to pay their respects to you. For unlocking your silver eye's obviously."
"And somehow... Somehow Nora was able to lead a coalition of faunus servants to make up teams for each heiress and she ordainded herself the queen of the 'Waffle Tower' and if either of them wanted to be able to deliver those gifts. They had to lead their faunus teams to make a tower of waffles themed around my own magic tower!"
"Nora... Didn't say anything about that." I said helplessly as I knew that leaving Nora to her own devices was a terrible idea! Especially with New Jersey also here to act as an enabler.
A cough escaped Lux before she said with a chuckle. "I was admittedly a little annoyed she wrangled all the servants into this weird event. But Miss Goodwitch was also over here at the time and she appreciated the dedication and actual art put into the waffle towers that were made."
I nodded in understanding before I said. "Wait! What presents did Weiss and Pyrrha's family send over?"
As uhhh. Weiss's family sent her over as a political prisoner basically. One that they didn't give a shit about seeing as Atlas's forces invaded Vale obviously. And as for Pyrrha, she ran away because she coudn't handle Mistral's dog eat dog culture.
And my face twitched as Lux said with a shrug. "The Schnee's sent a homunculus combat model that Weiss can teach you how to bind. And Pandora Nikos sent you... A fox faunus dancer whose semblance can enhance other people's aura and semblances when she is dancing."
I legit just stared at Lux until I said with a deep inhale. "Why... Why would you accept some human trafficking being sent to me???"
And I wanted to scream as Lux looked actually offended as she said. "Jake, neither of them are human. So they can't be trafficked anyway... That and the faunus is one of Feixiao's spies. In either case, she can be useful to you as you establish your force."
"That Atlas combat homunclus? What is it? Some monster made from an abomination or something?" I asked with a helpless sigh.
Lux was quiet for a long moment. Before she exhaled and said quietly. "No... It was made from the corpse of a side branch Schnee who was found consorting with an Apacolypse tier Grimm in the hopes of becoming an Abomination with standing."
I just face palmed as I knew the Schnee Royal Family was up to some shit at this point.
