Hello! ๐บ I made this comic in 2 days. I don't know why I always do things this way but it somehow works out ๐
I had 8 days to write and draw this story but it never happened until there were 2 days left. I wanted to print this for Indie Comix Fest Delhi. I thought Iโd start when I reached Delhi on the 4th. Comix Fest was on the 15th.
This time, I only had a few copies of 'Embarassing' (which I had made in 1 day for Bangalore Indie Comix Fest and fallen sick because of it ๐ฅฒ) and I had the new edition of Shampoo and Daddy! which is published by Indian Summer Press. I wasn't going to be able to break even my Delhi trip just by selling these two things because the publisher and I are splitting the profit 50-50 on the new book.
So I wanted to make another comic to increase my chances of breaking even and also because I hadn't made a new comic in a long time.
I wanted to draw it on paper and got the panels ready but because I only had 2 days left- I went digital. I printed it BUT the files were messed up so all 50 copies were messed up. But I stayed up and fixed them the night before comix fest. Aaaaaa. I feel compelled to give this explanation before you start reading haha.
Okay then I sold out of the 50 copies and got 50 more printed to take with me to Pune. LO AND BEHOLD, all of those copies were also messed up because the printer used the older file and not the new updated one I sent him. But we handled the situation and he fixed those pages himself.
I like how I dealt with this fiasco calmly. I like to see this growth in myself ๐ง
I'm thinking of making this into a longer story. Let's see hmmm ๐ค
