I have bought a flat with my parents! I've put most of my savings into this and it was made extra easy because of the support of one of my dear patrons.

We have taken a house loan. I do stress about paying it back sometimes but I don't want to! I want to enjoy this big step for now!
My partner Anand and I have been long distance ever since we started dating (2022). We would shuttle between Delhi and Pune and Bangalore.
We've lived together in-
1. Our friend's houses
2. In his parents' house
3. In my parents' house
Making all kinds of adjustments. But we've never lived in our own house together.
I'm nervous excited to start this journey. I have already not been super active on Patreon and I need to be active now more than ever because I need a steady flow of income to pay the EMIs aaaaaaaa.
I need to grow my audience here.
But I can't spread myself thin, I will focus on shifting houses and settle down a bit first then I will resume making comics and paintings and sculptures and what not.
Living with my parents my whole life and then with my partner & parents in the same house for the last 8 months has been restrictive, annoying and uncomfortably convenient. I love my parents but it's impossible to live with them at this age 🥲
I feel crushed by the constant stress I'm under and I really really want some peace of mind and a space of my own to explore my ideas and to bring back my curiosities. Please allow me some more time- I have already asked for too much. I hate to not show up and accept your money. But I am going to make up for it this year. Mark my words! ❤️
My parents will be moving into the flat that we bought because it's on the first floor and my father has knee problems. Anand, Maau and I will be living in the flat that we are currently in- the flat that I grew up in. It is on the 3rd floor (feels like 5th) with no lift so it's quite the climb but we are younger lol
Anand and I have waited for this moment for 4 years. And I've waited for 8. I'm extremely grateful.
I look forward to seeing how this move shapes me as a person and an artist.
