Weekly Update #57 - Wrapping up the rewrites, designing a couple of new assets
Hey all,
Quick update as we're really close from release phase.
First off, do note that I'm still aiming for a january release, with release phase ideally kicking off next week.
As I mentioned last week, I recently initiated substantial rewrites for the roleplay arc that will unfold through the DnD app. I'm glad I did as I'm overall feeling more inspired in the writing process, and the resulting gameplay sequence will be actually pretty lengthy; we're looking at roughly a thousand of new dialogue nodes with some spread out in parallel branching paths.
This whole thing is pretty experimental gameplay-wise so I'm looking forwards for feedbacks to adjust to the correct level of interactivity/player agency/roleplay immersion.
I wanted to share more teasers, especially for the app and what the whole DnD session will look like but due to the rewrites there are a handful of additional assets I need to design, so I'll be back in the illustration workbench in a pinch.
There's also still a bunch of coding workload to do regarding the in-game app implementation, so overall, a bunch of stuff to wrap up before release which explains why I'm kind of all over the place in this blogpost!
Sorry for the short update and lack of teasers, but I'll be back soon bearing gifts and sneak-peeks.
Those are gonna be a rough and busy couple of weeks so bear with me, but we're gonna make it so stay tuned and thank you as always for the support!
