Hey all,
This will be a very short update as there are no new teasers to unveil this week (well, I could share more screenshots of the new app but I feel like this will get stale pretty quickly and it's not quite as flashy).
We're cruising through one heatwave after the other over here and it's getting pretty rough, but we're powering through. I'm still increasingly kept busy by the wedding prep, but I'm still trying to commit to the July release!
This week I've been working on the boring, tech aspect of the implementation : data model & structures for the new gameplay elements which has branching impacts throughout the code especially in how the data is stored for savefile purposes.
I also worked on the actual UI elements (working on a prop view to test the gameplay elements only goes so far, there needs to bunch of views for all the different workflows in the actual, final app) which is always - at least for me - a somewhat tedious task.
Gameplay wise, I've been working on making the in-app terminal be actually interactive: it should replicate an actual terminal in which you can type commands and get matching outputs in order to be a pretty immersive "hacking" experience. It won't be a hard, simulator-type experience though; it will be very gameified and there will be big ol' buttons to use in parallel to the terminal if it's too obscure. The goal here is "immersive but fun and straightforward"!
All in all, a lot of tech implem & testing that does not yield anything flashy to show off for, but it's still progressing towards Early Access feature-complete (though probably not quite bug-free) state.
I should have another artwork teaser to show you guys very soon though, so stay tuned for the next update and bear with me because we're nearing the first Early Access build!
