I’m really thrilled to finally make this announcement, so let’s jump right in!
The next content update is coming very soon, and with it returns a true legend from our past.
Roberto Moretti, or simply just Bob, the rhino we all know and love, is finally back and ready to join the roster once more!
The former heavyweight pro boxer, now slowly approaching his fifties, used to look absolutely grim and intimidating when stepping into the ring. Over the years, he earned titles such as “unstoppable force of nature” and later on simply “Bulldozer.” Facing him as an opponent must have been a truly terrifying experience.
But truth is: Bob is an incredibly funny and genuine guy! He’s almost always in a good mood, constantly cracking jokes, throwing around sharp comments, and enjoying life to the fullest. Naturally, our other old timers like Maple, Maya, Fraenir and the rest of the gang are more than happy to have him back around as well!
After retiring from professional boxing and moving on to life as a coach, Bob eventually met Melanie. The two quickly became what most people would consider a couple, though neither of them is particularly interested in traditional marriage or overly complicated relationship structures. They simply enjoy being together, supporting one another, and living life at their own pace.
What can I say?
Recreating Bob turned into a massive and incredibly fun project for me. While trying to capture the spirit of his original design through the base body and parts, I definitely went beyond simply recreating the old character and instead shaped him into a much more fleshed out personality. I really wanted him to feel like someone who comes with a backstory and a real personality, shaped through various experiences, and I think that feeling finally shines through when posing and staging him.
I truly hope you enjoy Bob’s big return just as much as I enjoyed bringing him back to life!
With that said, we are this close for the next release, only adjustments are happening and we are about to add a bunch of normal maps, all revolving around various skin and scale types to help you out texturing your characters.
