Hello everybunny!Today we have another WIP of the Hoodie Lizard expansion pack. We were honestly surprised by the huge support and excitement for our idea, so we took the chance that these days we will be less active, to work on them ^^
The pack will have two new patterns; the aligator head and the wizard clothes and props. So we started with the most difficult one, making a pretty reptile head.
For this pattern, we wanted to keep the lizard's base shape; we didn't want to make a new head completely from scratch. The point was for it to keep the same essence, and it was more difficult than we thought. We thought we would only need to make the muzzle a bit longer and add a small bump to it. Easy job. But we had to make like 6 head pattern tests ;__; the bump was either too big, or too short, or it had a weird shape, the muzzle was too lifted... Also, we realised we had to raise the eyebrows a bit so the head didn't look too flattened with that long muzzle.
At the third or fourth test, we already got a shape we liked. It looked like and aligator, but we remembered that the point of our lizard is that it's a BABY lizard, and the new head looked more like an adult aligator. It broke the harmony a bit, so we decided to make a couple more tests modifying the muzzle to make it look a bit more juvenile. More like a just hatched baby.
and here's the final head with the embroidery test! It's so cute and funny ;3; We want to give it a big hug.

Hello everybunny!Hoy os traemos un WIP de nuestro pack de expansión del Hoodie Lizard. La verdad es que hubo una gran aceptación e ilusión por la idea, así que aprovechando que estos días íbamos a estar menos activas, hemos trabajado en ello ^^
El pack va a tener dos "patrones nuevos". La cabeza de aligátor y el traje de mago. Así que empezamos por lo más difícil, hacer una cabeza bonita para nuestro amigo reptil.
Para este patrón, queríamos conservar la forma base del lagarto que teníamos; no queríamos hacer una cabeza de cero nueva. La gracia es que mantuviera su esencia, y esto fue más difícil de lo que parecía. Pensábamos que sólo habría que alargar el morrito y ponerle un bulto suave. Trabajo sencillo. Pero tuvimos que hacer como 6 pruebas de cabeza ;___; el bulto quedaba muy para adelante, o grande, o se deformaba la barbilla... Además, nos dimos cuenta de que teníamos que alargar un poco la zona de las cejas para que no se viera la cabeza muy aplastada con el morro largo.
Cuando hicimos unas 3-4 pruebas, ya sacamos una forma que nos gustaba bastante. Parecía bastante un aligátor, pero recordamos que la gracia de nuestro lagarto es que parece un BEBÉ lagarto, y la prueba se veía más como un aligátor tal cual. Rompía un poco la harmonía. Así que hicimos un par de pruebas más modificando el morro para hacerlo más juvenil. Que se viera más un bebé recién salido del cascarón.
Y aquí tenéis el resultado final con la prueba de bordado! Es tan adorable y gracioso ;3; dan ganas de abrazarlo muy fuerte.
Qué os parece a vosotres? Creéis que se reconoce el nuevo animal sin perder su tierna esencia? Si os gusta, ya podemos ponernos a hacerlo entero a limpio y ponernos con el patrón del mago lagarto!
Muchas gracias de nuevo por el hype en este pack de expansión. Desde Animal Crossing que no lo hacíamos y disfrutamos muchísimo haciéndolo. Y que os haya interesado en un diseño original... Nos hace muy felices.
