I have teased before that we are going on a new journey starting this month. Before I decided to create the Estate set, I had another idea: a glamping-inspired series, and now the time has come for me to start on it.
The concept for the first month: we need a tent! So I will focus on building items first that create the illusion that you are actually residing in a luxury tent. The walls are disguised as fabric, with seams and movement; there are netting windows, curtain arches, curtain sliding doors, and several blinds for both the interior and exterior to make everything feel really tent-like. Another feature of this set will be modular ceiling pieces. They are invisible from above, so they don't interfere when you play, but once you look up from the side or underneath, they become visible, and I find that creates the actual tent atmosphere. I will also create a few plants, they are needed for the destination vibes :). I am mainly inspired by Aman I-khas (hence the name), which is quite minimalist, but also by Capella Ubud, with its maximalist elements. In the end, I hope I manage to create a build that's very flexible to use at both smaller and larger scales. I shall keep you updated along the way, but I hope you will enjoy the first images that I am sharing with you here :)
