Our heroes are finally together and the mystery has been revealed: as many of you suspected, the letter was not written by Bertrán, but his mother. But she wasn’t the villain of the story: Claudia Augusta had tried to imitate her son’s handwriting at his request, since he couldn’t write because of the accident. The final battle was not between Adara and Bertrán’s mother, but between Adara and Bertrán himself.
I’ve seen some people calling Bertrán dramatic in the comments, and they’re kinda right, but we must have in mind that he doesn’t know if he’ll be able to use his right hand again, which is the one he writes with, and what scars will remain. I don’t know, since I broke a bone in my right hand when I was in the middle of Miss Abbott, I see this issue differently. I was on vacation and just as I was coming home, I slammed my bike against a wall. I had never broken a bone before, and it seemed absurd to me that it had to be one of the right hand, preventing me from keep working for a month or so.
This scene in which Bertrán is injured is recycled from a story I wrote many years ago. It was originally much more dramatic because, in that one, the female character hadn’t admitted her true feelings yet, and it took a long time until they met again. It was a very emotional scene, actually. Tears, confessions and whatnot. 😆
Anyway, we’ll talk next week.

Nuestros héroes están por fin juntos y el misterio se ha desvelado: como muchos sospechabais, la carta no la había escrito Bertrán, sino su madre. Pero en realidad no era ella la villana de la historia: Claudia Augusta había intentado imitar la letra de su hijo a petición de este, que no podía escribir debido al accidente. La batalla final no era entre Adara y la madre de Bertrán, sino entre Adara y el propio Bertrán.
He visto en los comentarios que algunas personas llamaban dramático a Bertrán, y puede que tengan algo de razón, pero hay que tener en cuenta que él no sabe si va a poder volver a usar su mano derecha, que es con la que escribe, y qué cicatrices le van a quedar. No sé, desde que me rompí un hueso de la mano derecha cuando estaba haciendo Miss Abbott, veo este tema de otra manera. Estaba de vacaciones y, justo cuando iba a volver a casa, me estampé con la bici contra un muro. Nunca me había roto un hueso y me pareció absurdo que tuviera que ser uno de la mano derecha, impidiéndome trabajar durante un mes o así.
Esta escena en la que Bertrán está herido está reciclada de una historia que escribí hace muchos años. Era originalmente mucho más dramática porque, en aquella, el personaje femenino aún no había admitido sus sentimientos, y transcurría mucho tiempo hasta que se reencontraban. Era muy emotiva, la verdad. Lágrimas, confesiones y de todo. 😆
