Dragon Display Bookends- 3 Versions!

DESCRIPTION

These Dragon Display Bookends are a rework of my original dragon plaque display! This time built to actually support your books.

Instead of holding a plaque, the dragons now rest naturally against the side of your books. The hand has been repositioned to support the book itself. I also added a tab that slides under your books to keep everything stable.

I included three versions:

Large version with 6mm eye sockets (for glass eyes)

Large version with printed eyes

Small version with printed eyes

Print Settings

Layer Height: 0.20mm

Walls: 2

Infill: 5% Gyroid

Supports: Tree supports

Filament & Finish

I printed mine using PLA Sparkle (Onyx Black): https://us.store.bambulab.com/products/pla-sparkle?id=41002885415048

Then finished one with silver and the other with gold Rub ‘n Buff to bring out the details.

Filament Usage & Time (Both Bookends Printed Together)

Large – 6mm Eye Version (Single Color)

308g filament

15 hours

Both bookends fit on one Bambu Lab A1 build plate

Large – Printed Eyes (Two Color AMS Print)

330g filament

16 hours 20 minutes

Small – Printed Eyes (Both on One Plate)

113g filament

7.5 hours

Everything listed above reflects printing both bookends together, not individually.

This was a fun evolution from the plaque version into something more functional. It keeps that same dragon presence but actually earns its spot on your shelf.

Hope you enjoy it!

Happy Printing,

Christian, @CraftyKid3D
