I have a bunch of customer support piling up and I'm really sorry, but I just won't get to it by the end of the month - I have lots of taxes to file and an event to prepare for and a family member visiting. I'm talking to someone about helping me out in a part-time capacity - if you want to help make that happen, now is the peak time for more free members to jump over to the $1 tier and make it an absolute no-brainer.
I've made my intention known that I want to peel myself away from more social media places that aren't helping me grow - I got asked why I'm openly anti-AI, and while I have lots of loaded opinions about that, what I'm actually anti is corporate bait-and-switch tactics. I've signed NDAs with probably a dozen social media platforms and webcomic platforms now, and I've been invited to test features and be part of focus groups and consult on zoom for years (mostly unpaid, not that important) - And the truth is that a lot of features getting rolled out soon suck butt. It's just the NFT thing all over again - solutions that didn't have a problem to solute. Stuff to make investors happy and if 10% of the customers leave we didn't need them anyway. I want to plan for a version of my brand where I have the personal space to tell longer stories that can become physical books instead; and not chase trends and leaderboards and the various promises that have been made to me. I've played that game on my way up. I've been burned before and I don't have to whine about it, but I do have to learn from it.Also let's be honest, I'm uninterested in AI. It doesn't solve any problems I have. And it took <1 day for people to start generating AI images of the Cockadoodledusa and sending them to me, which just feels like this:
