Oh hello! I didn’t see you there. I was just in the middle of writing a post for today’s Flashgitz Friday! I just have so many exciting updates that I don’t know what to share with you all first. The progress of Space King episode 3? The boil on my ass? The progress of Space King.. 4? Yeah, you’re sitting up in your seat now, aren’t ya? How about we start with the storyboard department? Last week, we hired 3 more storyboard artists! The new guys are fantastic, and because these guys can scribble at mach 5, we already have the first pass of episode 3 thumbnailed out! Even though there will be a thousand rounds of notes before we have a completed animatic for the episode, this is a big step for Space King’s pipeline as it speeds up the process exponentially.

Can’t tell what’s going on? Good. We don’t want you guys to get too spoiled before we even have a finished animatic. Over the next 4 weeks, we’re going to be polishing these bad boys up and we’ll be beginning animation. Episode 3 is so close I can taste it. We’re also still working on the title sequence. We’ve made a lot of progress and are getting closer to the end. We’ve got the backgrounds drawn, the music composed, we even have almost all the animation completed! Check out what we’re working on right now! The shots below are still works in progress, but I think they’re looking fantastic so far.

I don’t know about you guys, but I can’t wait to see how these scenes look once they’re all finished. The colors, the music, it’s gonna be so metal, brothers, I can already feel it in my bones. This is definitely shaping up to be our best episode yet. On the topic of episodes, I’d like to share some other exciting news with you guys.Space King Episode 4 is currently being written! Yes, you read that right. Thanks to all your support, our supercharged pipeline has gotten to the point where we can begin working on the next episode before the current episode has even finished preproduction! This means you guys won’t have to wait as long for new episodes of Space King to bless your little eyeballs.Until then, I’m going to just have to bless your eyes with some more FANART!
