I’ve got some good stuff for you today, Brothers! We’ve got some fantastic looking shots from Space King 5, plus we have a fun episode of Tom and Don for you today! Spoiler alert: it’s about Magic: The Gathering!
Let’s talk about Space King 5! Seeing as we’ve got all the animation and backgrounds done, production couldn’t be going better! We’re currently deep in the compositing stage, which means combining all the backgrounds, animation, vfx, and adjusting the lighting to fit the scenes needs. After all this is done, it’s just a matter of plugging in sound, music, and renting out a big blimp to advertise the episode. Or maybe a bus. We still haven’t decided. What I’m trying to say is: the toon is getting close to the finish line!
The lighting, action, and animation in this shot barely scratch the surface of what you’ll see in episode 5. And this is already sick!

Aren’t these shots exciting? The more I look at them, the more I can’t help but think how far we’ve come since episode 1. And it’s all thanks to you! But it’s not time to sing your praises yet. That comes after the Tom and Don news.
SPEAKING OF TOM AND DON…!
This week’s episode of Tom and Don is about Magic: The Gathering! This might seem out of character for a coup[le of Warhammer chads, but we’re talking about THE MOST OFFENSIVE CARDS IN MAGIC: THE GATHERING! Now do I have your attention?
At some point in 2020, Magic banned 7 cards for offensive imagery (that I may or may not be intending on collecting like the Chaos Emeralds.) Today we’re going to go through them to see if the bannings were justified. Spoiler alert: some of them might be justified.
