DESCRIPTION

Hello everyone! Happy Spring! This post will be a roundup for everything we've done in May 2026. We will share a few previews that are coming up in the next few weeks.

Here are our big wins from this month!

Last month, we shipped seven battlemaps, including a massive mansion that will receive a Night version for Patrons soon!

We've released a brand new, hand-embellished map set part of our monthly Hero-tier offerings!

May 2026 Roundup

The Menagerie Bar: This bar is a local hot spot set in its own enclosed arcade that features a lush garden and relaxation area. This bar, while well-maintained, is definitely a seedy spot where business moves uninterrupted by the gardia.

Ritual Chamber (Containment): Dungeon chambers are always fun to make and are very handy to have around! When adventuring, your party will inevitably find themselves face to face with unspeakable horror that was sealed away ages ago. How will they deal with it? The Ritual Chamber released here not officially a part of a series, but will continue to receive further map sets in the same vein as we expand our Dungeon-themed map sets this year. Happy dungeoneering!

The Minerval Order Archivum: This was a very fun map to create. I love making libraries and guild halls! The archivum is a beautiful desert retreat filled with knowledge and mysteries. There are three levels in this map set, all of them filled with details that really sell the theme. As a base for scholars and wizards, this archive would work well as a stop for lore and knowledge in your quests, or perhaps serve as a gathering place to meet important people who work on magic.

Museum Storage: I have made a few museum-related maps in the past before, but nothing as part of a set. This map is a proof of concept for a larger, more realistic museum map set that I am still drafting. Museum storage often have rotating artifacts, study and restoration rooms, as well as document rooms. This map has everything we would want from 'behind the curtain'.

Tomb of the Vizier: This is our latest addition into our Dungeons Collection! This map set features an underground tomb and reliquary to a powerful Vizier of the Guild of Alchemists. Inspired by the real-life Vatican Necropolis, this dungeon is recessed and also unstable; even small tremors can cause drastic and dramatic problems for dungeon delvers. As your players delve through this dungeon, they will see remnants of past adventuring parties that have succumbed to the tremors, traps, or to panic. The goal of this dungeon is to gain access to the Vizier's tomb - where his prized magical artifact is in repose. This map set also comes with a bonus Annotated version with marked areas for DMs to include traps, encounters, or points of interest. Environmental storytelling here shows a lot, ensuring that each area is unique and has engagement value for your players.

The Senator's Villa: This is another massive mansion map set in our signature style: luxury, opulence, focus on architectural design, and aesthetics. The Senator's Villa is a beautiful 3-level home that features an opulent pool, space for hosting parties, a massive wine cellar, and enough guest rooms for an entire adventuring party! This is all done in a Mediterranean style of architecture and design to draw focus on the theme of a breezy, comfortable home for someone of great wealth. There are a ton of details in each level and in each room. Included for the first time is also the Roof View, showing the entire structure from the Roof and below. The inner skylight shows two levels down into the ground floor inner courtyard! There is a Night version update coming for this map set, so if you're looking to obtain both Day and Night, consider becoming a Patron for the total package 💜 Patrons will receive this exclusive update next week!

NPC Art Pack #11 (The Family): Our art collection continues to grow! Magenta has created NPCs/Characters inspired by the theme of The Family, featuring four characters associated through a noble house. These merchant-nobles are each a part of House Elanda's story to its present day. The scheming nobles contribute to the House's machinations, hence the nickname family, drawing on ideals of both blood bonds as well as a mafia's code of camaraderie. Each character has their own bespoke style, so if you're looking for NPCs that mean business, these nobles can hold their own.

Hero

The Bastion Circle (Hero Exclusive): As part of our Hero-tier offerings for May, Magenta has worked hard on bringing to life the Bastion Circle! This hand embellished map set features 6 variants, including Day and Night Versions. The primacy of nature is the theme of the Bastion Circle, which features a ritual stone and site set in a lush mountainside. Overlooking precarious cliffs, this ritual circle is both a meeting point for outlanders and hermits, but also a point of interest for a local community. Traveling through nature to honor its bounty - as well as to respect its supreme authority over life and death - the local shamans give sacrifice at the Bastion Circle. Each section of the map features both tactical and aesthetic details; giving a depth to any encounter that you run here for your adventurers.

That is all for our May 2026 Roundup! If you've made it this far, thank you for reading and sharing your support to our project! Being able to make art and contributing towards the TTRPG and fantasy community is such a blessing, more so when we are able to support ourselves with it.

Art is our passion, and our style speaks for itself. We would never have it any other way! We are proud to be 100% human-powered in perpetuity.

In June 2026, we will be excited to bring more maps, a Summer Sale (!), and asset previews :>💜 Grey 🌙
