DESCRIPTION

Hey everyone! Time for the very first Dev Log for Corrupt House! I’ve been putting in a lot of work behind the scenes, and I wanted to share some of the progress with you all.

👁️ Enemy AI

I’ve been spending a good chunk of time making sure the enemies feel smart and threatening—not just mindless chasers. I won’t spoil the details of how the AI works (I’d rather you experience it firsthand 👀), but just know the enemy will keep you on edge and force you to think carefully about every move you make.

🔥 Enemy H-Scene Encounters

One thing I really wanted to improve compared to my past games is the flow of encounters. I always disliked the black screen cutaways whenever an enemy caught you—it felt jarring and broke immersion. This time, everything is seamless. Transitions between gameplay and enemy H-Scenes happen naturally in real-time, keeping the tension alive without pulling you out of the experience.

🛏️ Game Mechanics

Beyond AI and encounters, I’ve also been working on new mechanics :

Hiding under beds to evade danger

Opening and closing cabinets to search for items

More environmental interactions to make the house feel alive

🤝 Development Update

I originally teamed up with someone to help on the project, but I’ve decided to return to working solo. I’ve learned that I do my best work when I’m on my own—things just flow more smoothly without extra complications. Don’t worry though, this means I can stay fully focused and keep the vision for Corrupt House clear and consistent.

That’s it for this dev log! Thanks so much for following the development of Corrupt House and I’d love to hear your feedback. If there’s anything you’re not a fan of, let me know in the comments, it’s always easier to make changes early in development than later on.Stay Corrupt,
