Hey y’all! Super sorry for the lack of posts I’ve just been rendering this big guy! He’s a new character of mine I’ve been working on and I finally finished his art!
A bit about Vimori Shizukana:
A naive and clueless soul who does his best to remain polite and humble. (Such as taking an elderly lady’s hand across a street) However he has a strong sense of justice and won’t hesitate to do the right thing. His attire is done to do his absolute best to hide the majority of his body, as he tends to not want to show himself off. He constantly has a handkerchief with a very well drawn human face tucked away in his pocket, in which he tends to pull out often when in public settings, as a way to draw people away from himself and to blend into the crowd. However the handkerchief itself is not large enough to cover the entirety of his face. However most villagers pretend otherwise as to make him feel better as he believes his disguise is working flawlessly. Vimori doesn’t need to open his mouth to speak, as sound travels out from him in almost an ethereal resonance. His eyes glow and inhumanly color and to make up for his Inability to create facial expressions, his flowing eyes change in shape to allow him to express himself much more properly. His mouth and other parts of his body also glow this inhumanely blue color, which seems to be what the source of his magic is made from. Whenever he opens his mouth a cold hazy blue fog slowly spews out from it.
While he doesn’t know this, He was created as a healers failed attempt to resurrect a fallen hero. With each attempt the healer had pumped every bit of magic into the body, as the magic passed through the corpse, it filled into the life around it. Flowers bloomed, saplings sprouted, but the corpse remained lifeless, And thus was abandoned as the body was left to rot years, however the healers magic left the gateway open, turning the body now into a possible vessel, an open door of nothing but a mixture of the original humans bones, and a large set of animal bones now lying beside it, as many animals had found this place to be a suitable final resting place. It was silent and melancholic. However whether it was fate or a curse, a soul found its way to the open door, now suddenly being transferred into the corpse, causing it to return to life. Due to this, the corpse began to rise, the body being reformed and made into what it was now, a hybrid between a hero’s body, and the creatures that served the area they accompanied. And with a rather large animal skull now serving as a replacement the previous head, he awoke with gleaming eyes.
He doesn’t know his past before he came back to life, only blind slivers, and has lived for nearly a millennium now, his body still constantly flowing with the magic of a healers best efforts. As he walks an occasional flower can be seen growing from where he steps. At one point at the beginning of his new life he was taken in by a blind elderly woman, who took care of him and taught him what it is to be a good man for as long as she lived. While now he wishes for a moment of solidarity, he can’t help but travel throughout the town that had taken in him so graciously.
He also began to wear his mask around town after accidentally making a child cry during a game of peek a boo, causing him to quickly cover his own face to avoid scaring anyone else. Though despite his looks, his politeness and awfully kind being was enough for the town to take him in as their own. He remained as the towns protector, a job he was willing to do for free, but had a 401k and salary forced upon him despite his polite declines. In his free time however he would spend it gardening and crafting blends of assorted tea. He also takes often leaves from the town to gather assortments of tea, before returning back. He doesn’t know anything of his past besides the flashes of blurred memories of a life he hasn’t lived when he tried to sleep, invading his mind in dreams and always forgetting when he awakens. However despite that he does know what he wants to make his future.
