DESCRIPTION

EDIT: New link below with updated cards (PNP and PCIO Link as of 1/9/26).Hey everyone, Jason here with a quick post before the new year. I've been itching to do a big year end wrap up, and even a post to let everyone know to join before the new year starts so they could be eligible for the year long package, but it's been a real whirlwind. I think we'll get around to those things but we're just running a little late this year.

Even this post probably should have went out a week ago but I feel like Pax Unplugged -> Black Friday -> Black Friday fulfillment -> the holidays has just been so rapid-fire, and I'm happy to just be beyond it all.

Anyway, we have a new game called The Daily Weather. It's designed by Ian Tarter, with art by Manon Mergnat. It's awesome.

As The Daily Weather’s newest meteorologist, it’s your duty to get the weather report ready. However, first you must arrange the weather map so only the current day and month are visible, and the weather pattern of the day is visible. Can you make today’s map?

Determine today’s unique setup using the real-world date and season, then use overlapping cards to work your way towards a solution. Score points for more effective solutions as you try to predict the unpredictable weather!

Since you can play every day, we wanted to start up a daily challenge at discord. Essentially a space for you to join in on the new daily puzzle and share your progress, struggles, and techniques with others.

The physical game will be available on Kickstarter in February and here at the club a few months later, but for now we want to share the print and play files, and the PCIO files so you can join on at the start of the new year.

WHERE TO JOIN IN

You can join in at our new discord channel. Here's a link to The Daily Weather Daily Challenge Channel.

LINK: https://discord.gg/baTSDJvG5xThis is a real soft launch, but we hope to build it up as much as possible. Maybe we can get some leaderboards or prizes going as we get settled in. Here's a look at tomorrow's challenge:

PRINT AND PLAY FILES

Here is the link to the print and play. This is like 95% done, and really just keeping an eye out for any confusion or issues that emerge as we release it. It's full color and currently available for Patrons only.

PCIO FILES

If you haven't heard of or used PCIO, it's a cool web based playing card site, where you can upload a file and jump right into games in your browser. We use it for play testing, but it's great for a game like this. Once you upload the file, everything will be setup to jump right into the game.

From the team - Instructions: When you open pcio, press import game under the menu tab then choose the .pcio zip file and the room should populate from there.

So please join us in what might be our most ambitious project for 2026. We're super excited to launch it, and play along with all of you.

Happy New Year everyone!

-Jason
