HEWWO
Here's the completed version of the original draft we saw earlier this month! Steven Universe has always been a huge source of inspiration since the colored comics came about. I knew early on Pridestar wasn't from around town, and figured it was time to share that backstory.
While I knew this was going to be a flashback scene of a younger Snares (the lifeguard lion), I wasn't exactly sure how I wanted to signify that through the color script. I eventually settled with something more dramatic instead the usual flat colors instead of simply going grayscale or sepia.
Presently, I'm 2 weeks into my internship. I'm reflecting on my time management between commissions, comic production and day work - and how all this translates to a revised schedule after my internship (as I enter my third year of university in July). It's easy to feel pressure from peers and the world at large, with no shortage of content and activity constantly churned out online. I have to remind myself that I'm in a situation unique from everyone else - that I'm only competing against my own limitations and trying my best.
