Thank you for sticking with us through May! Based on the feedback and reactions so far, I'm relieved that some folks had more or less made the connection with the pink shooting star being Pridestar himself. I was concerned if readers could still follow the intended direction given the sudden introduction of sci-fi / fantasy elements, but I think the color association helped.
We continue this month with the third part of Pridestar's origin story - the birth and rescue. With the color styling now established, I feel more confident moving forward with this one and may include Pride Month colors if it works out within the intended panel.
I've been careful not to overload the comic strip with too much dialogue. There are several instances where I was inclined to tell readers what was happening and why, but it seems for the most part folks are able to follow the visuals and figure things out. The Dine-In Diner was designed with exposition in mind, spoken through another character - if things don't work out as planned, I have another opportunity in that story beat to clarify the developments.
I've also restructured next month's Pridestar Origin 04, so that will need some attention with.
