Hey everyone!

It’s been almost two months since College Queen released, so here’s the latest devlog!

Over the past weeks, I’ve created roughly 1,000 new CG scenes for Calista’s Stage 3. That sounds like a big number, but a huge portion of them comes from the fun (and chaotic) beach volleyball event with Calista and Marianne. The two of them meet a guy and his girlfriend, get challenged to a match where the winner gets to boss the loser around… and let’s just say things end up going very “well” (or very badly?) for both of them.

I’ve also introduced two important new characters:

Zara Ellison: a struggling influencer who’s almost given up on her dreams. She’s an old friend of Calista’s, and Calista decides to give her a helping hand.

Alia Voss: a professional photographer and lecturer in the Photography & Film major at Calista’s university. She’s passionate about bold, artistic photography. Calista ends up inviting her for a very special photo session.

Zara and Alia’s stories will be connected to each other as the game progresses.

On top of all that, I spent a good amount of time improving the muscle definition across the characters (especially Stage three Calista). I wanted them to look more defined, proportional, and aesthetically pleasing while still keeping that signature exaggerated Myon-San style, because let’s be honest, I’m never making them “normal” sized 😂

Here are the main improvements I made:

Abs: Old version looked flat, merged, and a bit awkward. New version: Each ab pack has its own clear shape, depth, and separation. The lighting and shadows now make them pop much better.

Thighs: I intentionally made them smaller than before. The old thighs were too big, hard to animate, and looked stuck together. Now the left and right thighs are clearly separated, and every muscle is visible and well-defined.

Arms: I wasn’t happy with the old shape even though it wasn’t terrible. The new arms are bigger and have much clearer muscle separation. I’ve grown to really like this size, so I’ll be building on this look even more in Stage 4.

Back & Shoulders: The old back felt flat. As for the new version, every muscle you’d find in a biology textbook stands out clearly, and I quite like it, but in Stage 4 I want to try making it even more pronounced.

Hamstrings & Calves: Reduced the size slightly for better proportions and a cleaner look. They now fit Calista’s overall body ratio much better.

Hairstyles: it’s not that one is better than the other, it’s just that Calista is the type who likes to change her hairstyle.

I’ve attached full body comparison images so you can clearly see the differences (old vs new) on Calista’s Stage 3 body.

On top of that, I’ve been learning new lighting techniques in Daz Studio. It was harder than I expected, there’s still so much I don’t know about proper lighting and rendering. After doing some research, I realized Daz’s lighting and camera system works very similarly to real-world photography. I’ve managed to improve my indoor lighting a lot using this knowledge.

The only downside is that the old lighting looked a bit more like real world than new lighting. But, the new lighting gives a more cinematic feel, which I really like. I’m still learning and experimenting, but for now I’m pretty happy with the results.

Quick note: Some parts of Calista’s Stage 3 (especially in the beach event) haven’t been updated yet with the new lighting and improved muscle design. So if you notice sudden visual changes in the middle of the story, I apologize in advance for the inconsistency.

Oh, by the way, for those wondering where Calista’s "HUGE DONG" is. Don’t worry, it’s still there, but I’m just not allowed to show it in public posts that prohibit NSFW content.

That’s all from me for this devlog. Thank you so much for reading and for your continued support, it really keeps me motivated!

Sincerely,

Myon-San
